Hactl Information Technology Disaster Recovery Drill 2021

For service stability and reliability to our customers at all times, Hactl has been making use of the Chinese New Year slack period to conduct disaster drills to enable our staff get familiar with all the established fallback procedures. This year the drill, simulating an IT data centre power outage scenario, will be held between 14 February at 2330hrs and 15 February 1200hrs. This year drill will not require any pause on system operations, as the drill is conducted backend which is transparent to users.

As for risk avoidance, it is recommended that airlines could make advance preparation before the drill, such as pre-manifesting, manifesting, SRF issuance, MAWB/HAWB updating and submission of flight information to C&ED for inbound flight clearance. For Hactl.com functions, airlines are also suggested to perform advance EMAN declaration, inquiry of historical records and e-reports download to facilitate your daily work. Freight forwarder please bring along the manual PPK/MPPK Cargo Declaration Form when delivering PPK/MPPK to Hactl if the e-RCL predeclaration has not been created.
