About HactlAir Pollution Control

Air Quality Assurance

Hactl has been the certificate holder of “Clean Air Charter” since 2010, and has received numerous Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) awards from the Environmental Protection Department (EPD). In 2020, both of our northern and southern office blocks have achieved “Excellent Class (Entire Building)” under the EPD’s IAQ Certification scheme.

Ventilation

Hactl has installed a ventilation system in the terminal’s loading area to collect exhaust air contaminants, including sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide, from truck engines.

We frequently replace the bag filters in office ventilation system to ensure good indoor air quality.

Pollution Reduction

Seven electric vehicles, 99 electric forklifts and an electric passenger step with zero air emissions are currently in use. To reduce pollutants emission, we have rearranged the maintenance schedule for our over 200 tractors, on-road fleet, airside vehicles, ground support and mobile equipment.

In addition, increased usage of cleaner fuels such as gasoline and B5 biodiesel, also helps reduce air pollution.
