Perishable Handling Centres Our Perishable Handling Centres are located on the G/F and 1/F on the north side of the Main Terminal Building. With direct linkage between the airside and storage facilities, our streamlined cargo handling procedures and integrated facilities ensure the freshness of all perishable goods. Special features include: Dedicated customs examinations facilities to allow for the fast release of goods Direct airside interface for prompt handling of cargo More than 40 truck docks dedicated for fast collection and delivery of perishable Dangerous and Radioactive Goods Stores No amount of precaution is too much when it comes to the safe handling of dangerous goods. We provide dedicated handling facilities to handle dangerous goods and radioactive goods. Equipped with advanced fire prevention facilities as well as tight access control system, these facilities are designed to provide maximum safety in handling dangerous goods: Three Dangerous Goods Stores licensed to handle dangerous goods from Category 2 to Category 9 One Radioactive Goods Store for storing radioactive goods Personnel licensed and trained to handle dangerous goods Refrigerated Cargo Centres SuperTerminal 1 offers dedicated facilities to help your cargo stay fresh. Our refrigerated cargo centres are uniquely designed to cater to the needs of both bulk cargo and airline containers: A Bulk Cargo Refrigeration Centre with a total floor area of over 750 sq. metres A Unitised Cargo Refrigeration Centre with a capacity for 50 standard Unit Loading Device (ULD) positions and 4 half-size ULD positions, the equivalent of one and a half B747 freighters Valuable Cargo Handling Centre We provide an ultra-secure, custom-designed strong room for the handling of valuable cargo: Dedicated armoured vehicle zone for 9 vehicles Armoured vehicle docking facility that can accommodate 4 armoured vehicles simultaneously Round-the-clock security checking by surveillance and monitoring systems Live Stock Rooms SuperTerminal 1 has 2 Livestock Rooms featuring: Temperature controlled environment Wash-down/ grooming facilities Dedicated area for release and acceptance of live animals Mini-Shipment Centre Conveniently located on the ground floor of the South Office Block, our Mini-shipment Centre provides cargo acceptance for the following items: No more than 3 pieces per consignment and Less than or equal to 75 kilograms in total Twenty-Foot Container Handling Centre Our twenty-foot Container Handling Centre also handles outsized cargo, such as automobiles and aircraft engines.
