(12th September 2007, Hong Kong ): Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) is pleased to announce today that Hong Kong Airlines (HKA) has appointed Hactl as the official Ground Handling Agent at the Hong Kong International Airport.  Starting from today, Hactl will be providing Cargo Terminal Operation service and Air Cargo Documentation service to Hong Kong Airlines.

As a home-based carrier, HKA will aim for further growth of its business through expansion of its hub network, which expectedly will see an increase in the need for transshipment cargo handling.  Hactl is well positioned to support HKA in this area: currently handling approximately 80% of the general cargo volume in Hong Kong, Hactl has the leading edge to facilitate more cooperation opportunities among its huge customer base, and offer added operational efficiency and flexibility especially in the area of transshipment cargo handling.  By employing Hactl’s one-stop cargo solution, HKA will enjoy a distinctive competitive advantage, and well poised for further growth in the region.
